Every year, millions of Muslims are travelling to Mecca to perform Al Hajj. They are coming from different regions with different age groups. As a result, different health problems may occur if they don't take preventative methods.

The vaccines mandatory by the Saudi Ministry of Health for Hajj travelers are:
- Meningococcal Vaccine (Quadruple): It is a mandatory vaccine to all Hajj travellers by KSA to protect against meningitis.
- Seasonal Influenza Vaccine: It is a highly recommended vaccine to reduce the risk of flu.
- Pneumococcal Vaccine: It is recommended to adults aged 65 years and above. Added to that, younger adults who have chronic diseases like diabetes, heart diseases (except high blood pressure), lung diseases (including asthma), liver diseases, and kidney diseases. In addition, people who have damaged spleen or their spleen has been removed and people who have weakened immune system to protect against pneumococcal diseases.
- Yellow Fever: All travelers arriving from countries known to be infected with yellow fever (as shown in the World Health Organization [WHO] Weekly Epidemiological Record) must present a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate in accordance with the International Health Regulations.

Vaccine for Cholera is usually not available.
